American Ninja Warrior's Women

Right off the bat, I want to say I am not a feminist. I do believe it is fantastic to see women go so far in a male dominating competition; however, just because they are women, they receive more credit or praise or recognition or whatever. Take Kacy for example: she definitely made history and it was incredible. I don't doubt she has potential and all, but these last two seasons, she hasn't done much. In 2016 she went out on the third obstacle of the Qualifying Round. Then, of course, she gets a Wild Card because she is a woman. All the 2016 Wild Cards were women; it, frankly, was ridiculous and disappointing. I wanted to see a few great potential male athletes, too, some rookies maybe who slipped up. No woman who got that Wild Card went far. Jessie Graff finished, but she deserved to be there. Three women, Labreck, Graff, and Martin, were the only ones who should have been in Vegas. It's actually not fair to the men. These women are extremely strong and can do more than I...

2017 All Stars

American Ninja Warrior's All Star episode aired on Monday February 20. It started with the team competition between Akbar, Matt, and Kristine. Akbar's team:   Grant McCartney  Neil Craver  Meagan Martin   Matt's team:   Najee Richardson Chris Wilczewski  Jesse "Flex" Labreck  Kristine's team : Flip Rodriguez  Nicholas Coolridge  Jessie Graff I have to start off talking about Nicholas Coolridge. He was on Team Kristine-- the team which won the entire team battle. Also, he was the middle man on both Stage 1 and Stage 3 (the only stages Team Kristine competed). So, Coolridge attempted and successfully completed the Jumping Spider and The Crazy Cliffhanger (if that's what it is still called) and  the Body Prop and  Upside Down Rock Wall. He was INSANE! In addition to all this, he won his skills competition. I wanted to mention him because this previous season (2016) was his second year competing, and he...

About the Blogger

Hello, my name is Katherine, and this blog is dedicated to NBC's American Ninja Warrior of which I am a huge fan of and have been for about three years. I was tempted to start this blog a year ago because I wanted to share my opinions and thoughts on the show, and the only person who really listens/cares (or pretends) is my dad. Anyway, with the 2017 All Stars Competition airing on February 20th, I thought this would be a good time to enter the blogging world. This is just an outlet for me to express my feelings on the show and the athletes. I have no connection with the show itself, and I do not wish to offend anyone with what I say; this is all merely one person's opinion. I love the show, and think the athletes are absolutely amazing, but as with everything, there are always flaws. I want to stress the point of this being my opinion, and it does not have to mean anything to you as a reader. Anyway, for whomever stumbles across this, I hope you enjoy.
